Back in March, Laura Ann Photography launched a "favorite images contest."
It featured family photography work from the last 8 years in the Cary, Raleigh & Durham, NC area. My work has grown and changed so much over the last 8 years, but the images that I loved the most were always the ones that showed real moments and emotions. The original post can be seen HERE. The winner was to receive a free in-home "a glimpse" documentary session with Laura Ann Photography. I was so excited to see my families sharing and loving their past family portraits on Facebook. When the votes were in, this family was the winner.
I was happy to be able to spend some time documenting this fantastic family on a Friday evening back in May. In the short time that we were together, I can honestly say (and I know that they would agree) we captured much of the fun-loving spirit of this family. Documenting a family is essentially telling their story. The story of their here and now.
